About Ma’Kai Pavilion & Kitchen

Rooted in the Taino word for “to nourish,” Ma’kai Pavilion & Kitchen is the beating heart of TFG Wellness—a soulfully designed space where food, craft, and community intertwine. Cradled between a tranquil pond and the flourishing gardens of our farm, Ma’kai invites guests into a sensory experience that is both grounding and inspiring.

Every dish served is a celebration of the land—crafted with fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced from our own farm and trusted community growers. Our menus reflect a commitment to wellness, sustainability, and the vibrant flavours of Jamaica.

More than a place to dine when you stay with us, Ma’kai is the living hub of our cottage industry, where traditional knowledge and hands-on creation converge. It also transforms into a sacred space for yoga, curated events, and soulful gatherings—offering a harmonious balance of nourishment, movement, and mindful connection.

TFG’s The Wellness Table

At TFG’s The Wellness Table, every dish begins long before it reaches the plate. It begins in the soil — in the rhythm of planting, nurturing, and harvesting that flows through our farm and neighboring ones. We believe wellness starts with what is real, what is grown with care, and what is shared with intention.

Our menu is not fixed — it follows the rhythm of the land. When the rains bring new greens, they find their way into our salads and soups. When the dry months call for heartier roots, we turn them into warm, nourishing meals. Everything we prepare is rooted in seasonality, shaped by what the earth and sea are ready to offer.

Our chickens, ducks, pigeons, sheep, lamb, and goats come directly from our farm — animals raised freely, fed naturally, and cared for with respect. Beef is sourced from a trusted local butcher who shares our commitment to quality. Our fish and seafood arrive fresh from local fishermen whose daily catch depends on the tides, not the clock. And on rare, special days, our very own TFG farmer, Bertie, brings in wild boar — hunted, butchered, and prepared with the reverence it deserves.

Every fruit and vegetable we serve carries the signature of the land around us — grown on our farm or harvested from neighboring farms that share our belief in slow, intentional cultivation. From vibrant herbs to tropical fruits, each ingredient is chosen not for abundance, but for meaning.

All of this comes together at Ma’kai Pavilion & Kitchen — the home of The Wellness Table. Surrounded by the breath of the land and the hum of community, Ma’kai is where the farm’s harvest transforms into shared experience, and where the simplicity of real food becomes a form of care.

At the heart of The Wellness Table is our head chef and curator/host, Aliah, the daughter of TFG Wellness. Her approach bridges generations of knowledge — honoring ancestral traditions while celebrating the creativity that blooms from the land. Through her hands, the farm’s rhythm becomes cuisine; through her table, wellness becomes an experience of community and connection.

At The Wellness Table, food is more than nourishment — it is connection. Connection to the land, to the farmers and fishers who sustain it, and to the guests who gather around it. Here, we eat with gratitude for the hands that plant, the hearts that prepare, and the nature that provides.
